Educational Advancement and Skills Development Program (EASDP)
Empowering Minds, Transforming Communities.
The Educational Advancement and Skills Development Program (EASDP) by African Kakuwa Vision (AKV) is designed to provide education and skills development for the Kakuwa people, refugees, and host communities in Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Education is a key pillar of empowerment, social change, and sustainable development. EASDP addresses barriers to education caused by displacement, poverty, conflict, gender inequality, and poor infrastructure.
Why It Matters
Education Today, Leadership Tomorrow.
Many children and youth in targeted communities are out of school due to economic hardship, early marriages, child labor, and inadequate school facilities. Adult illiteracy, particularly among women and refugees, limits community participation. EASDP fills this gap by offering formal and non-formal education, vocational training, digital literacy, and mentorship programs, equipping learners with skills needed to thrive.
Objective
Unlocking Potential, Building Futures.
To enhance access to quality education, improve learning outcomes, and equip vulnerable communities with employable skills and entrepreneurship opportunities.
